Batavus E-Bike Manual

Here you will find instructions and assistance for using the Batavus e-bike.

In Case of a Serious Accident

Always call SOS ALARM at 112 immediately.
Once you have the opportunity, call OurGreenCar Customer Service at +46 10 166 05 55 (Press 2, then 1) for further assistance.

Minor Accidents and Damages

  • Go to "My Reservations" and click "Report Damage".

  • If any damage has occurred, take pictures and upload them.

  • In the text box, describe what happened and include the vehicle’s ID.

Safety

Handle the bike and its accessories carefully to ensure safety and extend its lifespan.

Before riding, always inspect the bike to reduce the risk of injury to yourself or others in traffic.
Check the tire pressure and ensure that no parts are loose or damaged.

  • Range (distance per charge): Approx. 55 km

Before Departure

  1. Ensure you have read and understood the terms of use and instructions.

  2. Unlock the bike using the app by pressing the "Unlock and Start" button.

    • Make sure no spoke is blocking the metal locking mechanism.

  3. Gently unplug the charging cable.

  4. Bring the chain lock to lock the bike during your trip securely.

  5. Turn on the bike by holding down the power button on the right side of the display (on the handlebar) for about 3 seconds.

    • If nothing happens: Check that the battery is turned on and glowing blue.

    • If the battery is off: Hold the Power button on the left side of the battery until it starts glowing blue.

During Your Ride

  • Handle the bike with care and stay focused on traffic.

  • Park the bike responsibly! Secure the bike using both the chain lock and the frame lock, anchoring it to a fixed object with the chain.

  • Lock/unlock the bike in the app by pressing "Lock/Unlock"—do not press "End Reservation".

    • Make sure no spoke is blocking the metal locking mechanism.

  • Riding in the dark? Press the light button on top of the display to turn on the lights.

Ending Your Reservation

  1. Park the bike in the designated spot within the vehicle pool.

  2. Secure the bike by threading the chain through the ground anchor and the bike’s wheel, then attach the end to the frame lock.

  3. Plug in the charger to charge the bike.

  4. Carefully check that no spoke is blocking the metal locking mechanism on the frame lock.

  5. End the reservation in the app and make sure the bike is properly locked.

  6. Take any trash with you.
